A Case of Plasma Cell Leukemia

Abstract
|
|
|
Primary plasma cell leukemia is a very rare form of immunocytic dyscrasia. The
diagnostic criteria include more than 20% plasma cells in the peripheral blood or an
absolute plasmacytosis of more than 2000/㎣ inconjunction with a plasma cell neoplastic
proliferation.
We experenced a case of primary plasma cell leukemia with Kappa light chain in
urine.
The patient entered a good partial remission with cyclophosphamide, vincristine and
prednisone. But he died after add cytosine arabinoside because of bone marrow
suppression and secondary infection.
